Stop Coping. Start Living.
Start your journey to meaningful change.
Fear. Shame. Pain. Weakness. Stigma. Just thinking about seeing a therapist can bring up these emotions for people struggling with addictions, relationship or parenting issues, caregiving, abuse…
Thank goodness times are changing. Talking about your mental health is being normalized. You do not have to suffer in silence any longer, or remain “stuck” in whatever situation you find yourself. My goal as a therapist is to help you as an individual, as part of a couple, or as part of a larger family group to embark on a new path. We will do this by exploring relationship dynamics, navigating life’s challenges, and discovering hope.
“Are you living the life you chose? Are you living the life that chose you.” - Jason Isbell
Explore
Your journey starts from the beginning: how your family impacted your life as a child, adolescent and adult. We will address unresolved issues like grief, trauma or neglect. We will uncover what drives instability in your relationships. We will open the door toward the future through a willingness to explore the past.
Navigate
We will learn how to "be comfortable being uncomfortable", accepting life on life's terms. We will address addictions, self-harm, depression and anxiety head-on. We will learn mindfulness skills and use them to acknowledge and manage our emotional responses. We will develop coping skills that will help us to navigate the present.
Discover
We will uncover the obstacles that may be holding you back in any aspect of your life. You will understand your true calling by avoiding the negative emotions and old "traps" of your past. With a new-found empowerment, you can confidently approach a new goal: to discover your future.
